The Self Renegotiated

The artwork explores what happens when two minds truly connect. Two figures face one another, their brains meeting in the centre, creating a shared space between them while still remaining separate individuals. The tangled lines inside each mind represent the complexity of our thoughts, emotions, memories and experiences. As the two brains come together, these inner worlds begin to overlap, reflecting the way a meaningful connection with another person can influence how we think, feel and understand ourselves. The piece is also about communication beyond words, those moments when another person seems to understand the way your mind works. The two minds do not become identical; each remains complex and individual, but through their connection, something new is created between them.
